What if I am allergic to something or want to know what is included in the menu item?
You will find some of the information in details, but all products you receive will come with an ingredient label. If you have a particular question or concern, please contact us at 970-262-1200 or email us at Tim@peakprovisions.com or Chris@peakprovisions.com

What cooking utensils will I need to prepare the food?
Most meals can be cooked on the stove top or in the oven. If you need special equipment like a crock pot or a grill, it can be found by clicking on "Details" next to the menu item. Not sure if the place you are staying will have the equipment? Ask the property management company.

How Do I Order?
Just go to "Start Your Plan" on our website. We will ask you what you want to call your order…Christmas 2005, Spring Trip, Family Reunion. We then ask you how many people for how many days? What if I don't know the exact dates or my plans change?
Don't worry, go ahead and get started. You can save your order any time and go back and change it, up to 7 days out. Just go to my meal plan and enter your email address and password and load up the order.

How close to my arrival can I finalize my order?
All orders should be finalized no later then 5 days from your arrival to assure that we have everything you have requested. If you are unable to place your order that far in advance, give us a call. What if something I have ordered is no longer available when my order is filled?
We will do our best to substitute your item with a product of equal or better quality. If we cannot find a substitute that will meet your satisfaction, we will contact you.

Give us a preferred delivery time. We will call a couple of days prior to your arrival and confirm the delivery. We understand that your schedule changes…late plane, bad weather, late start. That's okay! Just call us and let us know. We will make arrangements to get your order to you. If there is no liquor in your order, we can deliver your order so its there when you arrive. We will just need to make arrangements with you in advance to obtain a key.

How does payment for the liquor work?
1. Liquor must be signed for and paid for at the time of delivery and cannot be sold to an intoxicated individual. 2. Liquor will be charged separately from your food order on your credit card. The charge will appear as Locals Liquors LLC.

Can I pick up my order?
Yes. We are conveniently located just north of I-70 in Silverthorne at 554 Brian Street. When you place your order, just choose the "Pick It Up". We are open from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday. If you are coming in on Sunday, we will set up a time to meet you at the store.

How do your costs compare to the grocery store?
Peak Provisions will cost you slightly more going to a grocery store, but save you time and the headache of creating the menu, making the shopping list, finding items in an unfamiliar store, dealing with out-of-stock or items that the store doesn't carry not to mention the time spent standing in the checkout line. What you will get with Peak Provisions is restaurant quality products, a variety of meals (all easy to prepare) and the convenience of delivery or a very short stop to our location where we will have everything packed up and ready to go.

I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of ordering from Peak Provisions.  We traveled over 800 miles in 2 days.   While planning our trip, I attempted to plan either taking food or taking a chance on shopping when we got there, knowing I was unfamiliar with the stores (besides – who wants to grocery shop on vacation - ?!), needless to say, it was becoming overwhelming.  I found the website originally by the link on the Valdoro webpage and thank goodness!  I was trying to decide how all 6 of us were going to eat every meal for our 4 day/3night stay at the Valdoro, attempting to take advantage of the kitchen facilities we would have in our room (especially on Thanksgiving Day), while still enjoying eating out but not every meal.  Enter Peak Provisions!  I thought the website was very easy to navigate and the choices were phenomenal.  After calculating prices and seeing your charges, I was amazed.  I don’t think I could have done it any cheaper and it certainly would have been much more trouble.

Our food was excellent.  Tim was so gracious and thorough when he delivered the food – explaining how everything was either ready to go or needed thawing, etc.

My only suggestion:  We ordered the Yukon mashed potatoes.  The flavor was great, however, the preparation was a little troublesome.  The bag was perhaps too oversized.  I boiled water in a large pot (stew pot).  However, because the potatoes were frozen, when I dropped them into the water, the water temperature instantly dropped.  It took several minutes for the water to regain heat and the potatoes were not pliable, so that I could bend the bag to fit it into the pot.  So, half the potatoes were almost done while the top of the bag still had a ways to go.  I ended up taking the bag out and putting the contents into a bowl and using the microwave.  It turned out fine, just an unexpected detour from the expected (but hey – that’s cooking sometimes, right? Ha!)  I might suggest placing the potatoes in smaller bags and providing multiple number of bags if a crowd of larger than 4 is being serviced. (We have done this)

My husband especially liked the pie.  As far as I know, we do not have that level of Sara Lee – just their basic line – in our hometown.  Too bad – I don’t think I’d ever make an apple pie from scratch again if we did.  I was truly surprised when I could taste the maple flavor in the crust.  It was awesome.  Additionally, the rib roast was excellent and the perfect size for the 6 of us.  Everything was complete and delicious.
